Dr. Mylinh Duong and Dr. Tim O’Shea’s research results will be presented at the 2022 American Thoracic Society (ATS) Conference on May 16th at 2pm EST. Using Breathe BioMedical’s breath analytic technology, Dr. Duong and her team conducted a study to detect Covid-19 in breath. Dr. Duong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University and a Respirologist with Hamilton Health Sciences.

Dr. Duong and her team conducted this research at Hamilton Health Sciences, St Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton and St Mary’s Hospital over 6 months. The research involved patients in hospital, suffering from Covid-19 and an equal number of control samples. The study demonstrated that our breath analytics technology can be used with patients suffering from compromised respiratory capacity.
